Representative Hugh Floyd

HD 99 (D - Norcross)

Currently serving first term in the Georgia House of Representatives, Freshman Legislator Hugh Floyd is faithfully serving the people of House District 99 which includes parts of Gwinnett County.

He has already shown his dedication to the communities that he represents through his service in several organizations such as Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful and is President of Blackwood Hills Association. He has also played an active role in the County’s education system, serving as a Member of the Superintendent’s Council, President of the Meadow Creek High School, PTA Council, a volunteer for HOSTS Mentoring Program at Lilburn Middle School and his participation with the 2001 Educational-Splost (Special Purpose Sales Tax) - Promoters Acting Committee and Speaker's Bureau.

Born January 18, 1941 in Beaufort, South Carolina, Representative Floyd is now married to Judy Sigler Floyd. The Floyds are members of the Harmony Grove Methodist Church in Lilburn, Georgia. They are the proud parents of two Children - Dana Floyd Harper and Evan Floyd. Floyd grew up in Chatham County, attending Chatham Junior High and Groves High School in Garden City. He is a 1969 graduate of the University of Georgia. He had committed service with the 165 Air Transport Group of the Air National Guards in Savannah from 1959-1968
