Statement of Barry Fleming on the Passing of Congressman Norwood

ATLANTA – Majority Whip Barry Fleming issued the following statement regarding the passing of Congressman Charlie Norwood:

“My wife and I have been praying for Congressman Norwood and his recovery for quite some time, but today the Lord had different plans. 

Charlie has been my friend and mentor, and I grieve for my own loss and more importantly for our state’s loss.  Congressman Norwood and his family made tremendous sacrifices and we are all the beneficiary.  My thoughts and continued prayers are with Gloria and the rest of the Norwood family during this difficult time.”
