REPRESENTATIVE KATIE DEMPSEY GRADUATES FROM THE GEORGIA LEGISLATIVE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

ATLANTA—Georgia State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome) announced today that she has graduated from the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute.

“The opportunity to further develop my own leadership skills and to learn from the experience of other legislative leaders will make me a more effective legislator for the people of my district,” Dempsey said. 

Created in 2005, the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute (GLLI) is a training program for state legislators developed to help them become effective leaders, informed decision makers and astute policy analysts.  Participants interact with national renowned scholars, professional development experts, and legislative leaders from Georgia and around the region.  GLLI’s curriculum includes six main elements: personal leadership development, public policy process and analysis, ethical governance, political leadership, understanding a diverse citizenry, and advanced legislative processes.
