Program Developed and implemented a process for passing Bond Achievements: referendums which have been successfully used to pass five Bond issues in Gwinnett county since 1979, for a total of $159,000,000. This process and the supporting documents have received state and national recognition.



Developed and implemented the Local School Advisory Committee (LSAC) concept in Gwinnett County. The Gwinnett LSAC has been presented throughout Georgia and at several national conferences. The Gwinnett LSAC was presented by the QBE designers as a model for school systems in Georgia.



Supervised the development of a comprehensive, short and long range planning process for future school enrollment and building needs. Responsible for forecasting the needs of Gwinnett County for one year, five years, ten years and to the year 2010. Developed a plan to deal with growth and provide adequate classrooms for Gwinnett students for the next ten years.



Developed one of the first successful team-teaching programs in Gwinnett County at Peachtree Elementary. The school received local, state and national recognition for this and several other innovative programs. School personnel were featured on Atlanta – Channel 8 – WGTV.



Developed a comprehensive school media program at Peachtree Elementary which was featured in the National Media Journal and received recognition in several local and state newspapers.



Honors Selected as the State of Georgia Legislator of the year by the Achievements: Georgia Association of Educators (GAE), 2002.
