RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. John K. Watson; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. John K. Watson was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to the board of
directors of the Georgia Lottery Corporation; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Watson is the principal of real estate development at TPA Realty Services;
and
WHEREAS,
prior to his role at TPA Realty Services, he worked for more than 15 years in
politics, government, and business at the local, state, and federal levels;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Watson previously served as chief of staff to Governor Perdue, general
consultant to Governor Perdue's campaign for Governor in 2002, and vice chairman
of Governor-elect Perdue's transition team; and
WHEREAS,
he currently serves on the board of directors of the Georgia Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS,
he earned his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University; and
WHEREAS,
he and his lovely wife, Kimberly, have two wonderful children.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Mr. John K. Watson for the valuable services he provides to his community and
this state and commend him on his appointment to the board of directors of the
Georgia Lottery Corporation.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. John K. Watson.
