A RESOLUTION


Expressing regret at the passing of Kristin Wade; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia has lost one of its finest young individuals with the untimely passing of Kristin Wade; and

WHEREAS, while the loss of any loved one is a terrible event, the loss of someone young is especially tragic; and

WHEREAS, Kristin was born on November 6, 1989, to Gus and Dee Wade; and

WHEREAS, Kristin was a senior at Sprayberry High School, and she was a former competitive cheerleader and a member of the Thunder All Stars National Champion Senior Co-ed Advanced Squad from SCA in Marietta, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she was studying hard during her senior year and contemplating her future, which possibly included becoming a nurse; and

WHEREAS, her friends and family have described her as always having a smile, never being judgmental, smart, sharp, thoughtful, caring, and quickwitted; and

WHEREAS, she was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta; and

WHEREAS, she loved animals and children, and she volunteered frequently with Marietta's Spay and Neuter Team of Atlanta; and

WHEREAS, she will be missed by her family and many friends.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join together in honoring the memory of Kristin Wade and extending the deepest and most sincere condolences to her family and friends.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Kristin Wade.
