RESOLUTION
Commending
Lynn Oglesby; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Lynn Oglesby has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by her work with the Cherokee County Humane Society, the
South Cherokee Recreation Association, and the Junior Service League;
and
WHEREAS,
she was recognized as the Pathfinder of the Month for August, 2007, by the
TowneLaker for her dedicated and conscientious service to her community;
and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of her community have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Lynn Oglesby for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the citizens of her community and state and extend
to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lynn Oglesby.
