RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Interface, Inc.; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Interface, Inc., was named winner of the 2007 International Quality of Life
Award by Auburn University; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding company has grown from its humble beginnings in 1973 to become
a world leader in sustainable businesses seeking to be environmentally neutral;
and
WHEREAS,
under the guiding hands of its chairman and founder, Ray Anderson, this
remarkable corporate citizen has established a glowing reputation of renown
throughout Georgia and the world for its ability to accommodate changes in the
carpet industry, and it continues to meet the diversified needs of its customers
with friendly and professional service while producing carpets from recycled
goods or from renewable resources; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
amazing company be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate Interface, Inc., on the occasion of its being named winner of the
2007 International Quality of Life Award, commend it for its many outstanding
contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend to it their best
wishes for continued corporate growth, development, and success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ray Anderson.
