RESOLUTION
Commending
Janice P. Biggers; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Janice P. Biggers has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Columbus; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by many years of outstanding service and selfless
sacrifice on behalf of those in need; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
she has been named the recipient of the 2007 Dan Reed Rotarian Award for
"service above self"; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable public servant be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Janice P. Biggers for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service; congratulate her upon receiving the 2007 Dan Reed
Rotarian Award; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued
health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Janice P. Biggers.
