RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Lorenzo Wilder; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Lorenzo Wilder has devoted 41 years of outstanding service and commitment to
his country, Upson County, and specifically the Salem community;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Wilder graduated from Drake High School and went on to be employed by Warner
Robins Air Force Base as an electronics technician; and
WHEREAS,
over the past 41 years of employment he has recruited, employed, and trained
more than 7,000 technicians in avionics; and
WHEREAS,
as assistant director of avionics at Warner Robins Air Force Base, he was
charged with the responsibilities of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and purchasing
the required hardware to keep planes flying commercially or engaged in combat
around the world; and
WHEREAS,
he is married to the lovely Christine Wilder and they have a wonderful son and
daughter; and
WHEREAS,
he is an outstanding community service leader, serving on the boards of the
Upson Emergency Medical Center and Flint River Technical College and as a member
of the Salem Civic Organization, Inc.; and
WHEREAS,
he and his wife are members of Salem Baptist Church.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
and commend Lorenzo Wilder for his years of service to his country and
community.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lorenzo Wilder.
