RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Jeremy and Candace Barwick and Dual Rey Me; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dual Rey Me, ridden by Jeremy Barwick from Lyons, Georgia, and owned by Jeremy
and his wife Candace, was named the Open World Champion and World Champion
Gelding during the 2006 National Cutting Horse Association World Finals, held at
the Tri-State Fairgrounds in Amarillo, Texas, February 7 - 19, 2007;
and
WHEREAS,
Dual Rey Me, an eight-year-old son of Dual Pep, following a year of weekend
experience as a five-year-old, finished as reserve champion in both the $10,000
and $3,000 Novice divisions; and
WHEREAS,
in 2005, Candace won the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Non-Pro
Classic Challenge and Jeremy was reserve in the Open Classic Challenge;
and
WHEREAS,
also in 2005, the Barwicks loaned Dual Rey Me to Jordan Milner in her quest for
the Youth Work Championship, a title she did win; and
WHEREAS,
with official NCHA earnings of more than $480,000, Dual Rey Me ranks among
NCHA's top 20 all-time leading money earners; and
WHEREAS,
Dual Rey Me is a beloved gelding of Jeremy and Candace Barwick, and having
entered the history books by adding his name to the elite list of Open World
Champions, it is fitting for this body to recognize the accomplishments of
horse, rider, and owners.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and congratulate Dual Rey Me and Jeremy and Candace Barwick on the phenomenal accomplishment of being named the Open World Champion and World Champion Gelding and wish continued success, health, and happiness to them.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
