RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Robert J. Babich II for his outstanding service to North Georgia
College and State University; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
North Georgia College and State University is the only state-supported
institution of higher learning in the United States that is also a military,
coeducational, liberal arts college; and
WHEREAS,
through his knowledgeable expertise and conscientious advice, Robert J. Babich
II has contributed immeasurably to the future of North Georgia College and State
University by helping to direct the course of its military science program;
and
WHEREAS,
North Georgia College and State University has a strong reputation for producing
some of the nation's top military and civilian leaders throughout its 130 year
history, producing 39 flag officers and a number of successful business CEOs and
government officials; and
WHEREAS,
as a member of the Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and
Universities and the North Georgia College and State University Class of 1985,
Robert J. Babich II is a living embodiment of the school's long tradition of
excellence, serving with distinction as a former U.S. Army Captain, a Special
Projects Committee Chair for the North Georgia College and State University
Alumni Council, and as manager of Market Development for Graphic Packaging
International; and
WHEREAS,
as he has commanded the esteem of countless peers, colleagues, and friends,
Robert J. Babich II has brought honor to the State of Georgia and the United
States.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
the extraordinary accomplishments of this distinguished citizen of Georgia,
Robert J. Babich II; commend his meritorious service to his beloved alma mater,
North Georgia College and State University; and extend to him their sincerest
best wishes for his future health and fulfillment.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Robert J. Babich II.
