RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Gloria S. Yarbor and congratulating her upon receipt of the prestigious Citation
Award; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Beach High School Athletic Hall of Fame Association proudly salutes
Gloria S. Yarbor, awarding her the prestigious Citation Award given for
long and meritorious service in support of Beach High School athletics;
and
WHEREAS,
Gloria S. Yarbor, a 1958 graduate of Beach High School, was extremely involved
in student activities that supported the athletic program; and
WHEREAS,
after graduating from Beach, Gloria enrolled in Norfolk State University;
and
WHEREAS,
knowing of Gloria's strong ties and devotion to the school, the late Jesse
"Jiggs" Morgan recruited her for membership and service in the Beach High School
Athletic Hall of Fame Association; and
WHEREAS,
for 16 years, Gloria has demonstrated her love and loyalty for Beach in her
outstanding service as an organizer extraordinaire and has also shown her great
leadership abilities as the chairperson of the annual awards banquet for the
past 14 years; and
WHEREAS,
her impeccable taste and flair for style have resulted in attractive and
colorful decorations, delicious menus, and extraordinary service with an
unparalleled attention to detail.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this
body
recognize the outstanding contributions of Gloria S. Yarbor to the community and congratulate her upon receipt of the prestigious Citation Award.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Gloria S. Yarbor.
