RESOLUTION
Congratulating
the 2006-2007 Manchester High School Blue Devils boys basketball team; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
through perseverance and iron determination, the Manchester High School Blue
Devils boys basketball has completed another spectacular season;
and
WHEREAS,
the Blue Devils soared through the state playoffs and, as a fitting finale to
their remarkable 2007 campaign, captured the Class AA State Championship;
and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and
spirit of each member of the team; their superb offensive and defensive talents;
and the astute direction of Head Coach Curtis Noble; and
WHEREAS,
the Blue Devils exemplified the virtues of sportsmanship and community spirit,
playing alongside their neighbors and fellow champions, the Jordan Red Jackets;
and
WHEREAS,
as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of pain and hard work, it is
fitting and proper to call them champions.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Manchester High School Blue Devils boys basketball team for its unparalleled
achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach Curtis Noble.
