A RESOLUTION


Commending and recognizing Mallory Crow; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Girl Scouting is open to girls ages five to 17; and the program encourages increased skill-building and responsibility and also promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills; and

WHEREAS, Mallory Crow of Troop 5809 has ably demonstrated her leadership abilities obtained through the Girl Scout program; and

WHEREAS, this outstanding young leader has truly demonstrated a commitment to the scouting principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted herself in a manner befitting the high ideals of the Girl Scout program as an accomplished Senior Girl Scout; and

WHEREAS, Mallory has been involved with the Girl Scouts for ten years and is working toward her Gold Award, the highest award for a Girl Scout and has taken Leader in Training; and

WHEREAS, she has also recently joined the Boy Scout Venture Crew and attended two Destination trips, a great honor, which took her to Minnesota for dog sledding and the Florida Everglades for canoeing adventures; and

WHEREAS, in a world which seems to accentuate the negative aspects of the actions of young people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to recognize with particularity the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary individual.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend and recognize Mallory Crow on her outstanding leadership skills and dedication to the Girl Scout program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mallory Crow.
