RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Bob Cucchi; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bob Cucchi has provided years of outstanding and effective service to the
state and the people of Georgia while working with the Ford Motor Company;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Cucchi has been a dedicated community leader maintaining ethical standards
and positive, productive relationships among Georgia's legislative leadership
beginning in 1979 and spanning five different administrations; and
WHEREAS,
he has made our people safer through authoring and spearheading vehicle and
driver safety initiatives, including key work in mandatory seatbelt laws in
Georgia and other states; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Cucchi has directed and managed significant financial support for cultural
educational and social welfare organizations such as the King Center, Zoo
Atlanta, the Woodruff Arts Center, the Atlanta History Center, Georgia Trust for
Historic Preservation, Georgia Institute of Technology, Fernbank Science Center,
and the Carlos Museum as chairman of the Ford Atlanta Community Relations
committee; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Cucchi has continually spearheaded groundbreaking legislative initiatives
that have bolstered economic development and business expansion resulting in job
creation over the past 28 years; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Cucchi has increased our overall welfare as a driving force behind the
establishment of many training initiatives through Georgia's technical and adult
education programs; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Cucchi's leadership at Ford Motor Company included the selection and
mentoring of several students from Georgia State University who have developed
professionally and are prospering in the government relations field;
and
WHEREAS,
during his service to Ford Motor Company, Mr. Cucchi has been a fantastic
spokesman for the southeastern United States.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Mr. Bob Cucchi, commend his outstanding service with the Ford Motor Company, and
extend to him the best of wishes for his future success and
fulfillment.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Bob Cucchi.
