RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and congratulating the G. P. Babb Middle School Bulldogs girls´ volleyball
team on winning the 2006 Clayton County championship in volleyball; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the G. P. Babb Middle School Bulldogs girls´ volleyball team has
established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases
on character and academics, and every member of the 2006 team maintained a 3.0
grade point average or higher; and
WHEREAS,
these outstanding young athletes demonstrated considerable talent, discipline,
coordination, and brilliant teamwork throughout the season, supporting each
other and keeping a positive attitude through hundreds of hours of practice and
competition; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed an exceptional season, posting an amazing
8-1 record and achieving the school´s first championship trophy in
volleyball; and
WHEREAS,
the 2006 Bulldogs girls´ volleyball team was composed of the following fine
young athletes: Aida Alvarez, Keyonna Allen, Cabrisha Anderson, Nadia Caballero,
Justina Edwards, Rhea Heard, Paige Jewell, Brishanna Kendricks, Emily Lasher,
Tran Nguyen, Trinh Nguyen, Cambrea Norris, Amy Sengsavath, Ivenetta Trammell,
and Nicole Wilson; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, dedication, and hard work of each team member and of the
astute direction of Coach Jacquesa Smith.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the G. P. Babb Middle School Bulldogs girls´ volleyball team on a season of
unparalleled athletic achievement and congratulate its players on winning the
Clayton County championship in volleyball.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Jacquesa Smith.
