RESOLUTION
Commending
Reverend Frederick L. Small; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Reverend Frederick L. Small, the son of William and Naomi Small, earned his high
school diploma in 1979 from Canton Public High School in Canton, Mississippi,
and was a graduate of Armor Crew School, Army Supply School, the Military Police
Academy, Army Recruiter School, and Chaplain Assistance School, where he was an
Honor Graduate; and
WHEREAS,
he worked for the W.C. Bradley Company since April, 1994, where he is a lead
supervisor for the receiving department; and
WHEREAS,
he served in the United States army from 1979 until November, 2004, with 16
years of active service and ten years of reserve duty, where he earned numerous
meritorious conduct medals; and
WHEREAS,
he joined Greater Beulah Baptist Church in 1995, and since his arrival, the
church truly has been blessed; and
WHEREAS,
the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Small is a source of
strength, inspiration, and direction for persons in all walks of life and from
all economic strata; and
WHEREAS,
whether the task is preparing a sermon, vising the sick, counseling the
troubled, teaching others, or ministering wherever or whenever needed, Reverend
Small has shown the energy, devotion, and commitment truly reflective of divine
guidance.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
commending Reverend Frederick L. Small for his unparalleled record of community
service and his innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need and
extend him the most sincere best wishes for health and happiness as he continues
to uplift souls with comfort, prayer, and
praise.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Reverend Frederick L. Small.
