RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Fourth Street Baptist Day Care Center; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Fourth Street Baptist Day Care Center provides loving care for young children
according to Christian principles; and
WHEREAS,
thousands of people have embraced the vision of the original founders of Fourth
Street Baptist Church and participated in and supported the establishment and
growth of a community of faith, hope, and ministry to all people in need without
regard to race, religion, or national origin; and
WHEREAS,
Fourth Street Baptist Day Care Center epitomizes its motto of "Developing Life's
Foundation from an Acorn to an Oak Tree"; and
WHEREAS,
the center has made a significant contribution to the welfare of families
throughout the local community, surrounding area, and State of Georgia, as it
continues to be a leader in the community in the care of children;
and
WHEREAS,
as a tribute to its outstanding service, the center has been recognized as a
"Center of Distinction" by the Department of Human Resources for its exceedingly
high level of quality child care and it is the first day-care center in Georgia
ever to be awarded this distinction; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding achievements of the
center be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
recognizing and commending the invaluable work of Fourth Street Baptist Day Care
Center, congratulating the center upon being recognized as a "Center of
Distinction," and extending their sincere gratitude for their long-standing
commitment to the citizens of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Fourth Street Baptist Day
Care Center.
