A
RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Redan Lady Radars basketball team on an outstanding season;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the 2008 Lady Radars basketball team made it to the Final Four in the state
tournament competition; and
WHEREAS,
the Lady Radars, under the direction of Coach Rhonda Malone, earned a trip to
the Final Four by coming out of the Region 2-AAAAA as a number three seed; and
WHEREAS,
the dream of a state championship ended with a loss to Stephenson in the state
AAAAA games with a score of 58-43; and
WHEREAS,
for the season, the Lady Radars finished ranked number three in the final
Georgia Prep Country Coaches Poll behind number one Stephenson and previous
number one Mill Creek; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that this body recognize with particularity
the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary team including team
members Keneecia Wyatt, Kelli Riles, Selena Alexander, Felicia Dixon, Jillian
Moore, Melinda Wright, Quortni Fambro, Breann Tate, Delia Brunson, Alisha
Andrews, Nia Evans, Corshelle Williams, Audrea Alexander, Kierra Paige, and
Sydney Mason.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
and commend the Redan Lady Radars basketball team and extend to the team members
and their coaches best wishes for continued success in life on and off the
court.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Coach Rhonda Malone and the
Redan Lady Radars.
