RESOLUTION
Commending
Karen Holmes; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Karen Holmes, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, has been living in the city
of Avondale Estates for over 20 years; and
WHEREAS,
she began her city hall career in September, 2000, as a part-time administrative
aide; and
WHEREAS,
she has learned much about municipal government; and
WHEREAS,
now, as a full-time administrative assistant, she is the primary backup for the
clerk of court, held the positions of interim city clerk and interim finance
officer, and is the coordinator for city-sponsored events.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Karen Holmes for her distinguished public service to her community and this
state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Karen Holmes.
