RESOLUTION
Commending
Terrance Gaddy; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Terrance Gaddy is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete and a scholar; and
WHEREAS, Terrance Gaddy is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete and a scholar; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar junior student athlete attends Clarkston High School in DeKalb
County; and
WHEREAS,
he has been an outstanding athlete during his entire high school career; and
WHEREAS,
he recently was named the Class AAA wrestling champion in the 171 pound
division, and he completed his season with a 33-1 record; and
WHEREAS,
during the tournament he pinned three of his five opponents in the state meet,
including the championship match, and defeated the other two opponents by eight
or more points; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar young man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and
character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and
to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills of this
accomplished student athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Terrance Gaddy for his unprecedented athletic performance and extend to him
their sincere best wishes for success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Terrance Gaddy.
