RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Alberta H. Moody; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Alberta H. Moody was recently inducted into the Houston County Teacher Hall
of Fame; and
WHEREAS,
the Hall of Fame honors those extraordinary teachers who have made a significant
difference in the lives of their students; and
WHEREAS,
candidates for the Hall of Fame are judged on their significant, long-term
contributions to student success worthy of system-wide recognition;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Alberta H. Moody spent 31 years as an outstanding classroom teacher, and
was a home economics teacher when she retired in June, 1981; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; her loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished her superlative service to public
education in this state; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
distinguished educator be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mrs. Alberta H. Moody for her many decades of efficient, effective, unselfish,
and dedicated service to public education in Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Alberta H. Moody.
