BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Chapter 9 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to regulation of insurance rates, underwriting rules, and related organizations,
so as to require that all insurers authorized to do business in this state shall
publish certain information on an annual basis; to provide for related matters;
to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
9 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to regulation
of rates, underwriting rules, and related organizations, is amended by adding a
new Code section to read as follows:
"33-9-45.
Each
insurer authorized to do business in this state shall annually publish a summary
statement of the financial health and condition of such insurer. Such
publication shall be published in an advertisement in the legal organ of the
county in this state in which the main office of such insurer is located or the
county in this state in which the insurer´s registered agent for service is
located. The advertisement shall be not less than one-quarter of a page in size
and shall also include a summary of the rate filings by such insurer for the
previous 12 month period."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
