ACT
To
amend an Act providing for the compensation of the members of the board of
education of Floyd County, approved March 18, 1959 (Ga. L. 1959, p. 3203), as
amended, so as to provide for the compensation of the members of such board of
education; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for the compensation of the members of the board of education of
Floyd County, approved March 18, 1959 (Ga. L. 1959, p. 3203), as amended, is
amended by revising Section 1 as follows:
"SECTION
1.
The
chairperson and members of the board of education of Floyd County shall be
compensated in the amount of $400.00 per month. All five members of the board
shall be compensated for actual expenses incurred while traveling outside of
Floyd County, if such travel is in the performance of duties as a member of the
board."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
