BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Chapter 5 of Title 49 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to social services programs for the protection of children, so as to revise the
"PeachCare for Kids Act"; to change the short title of said Act; to provide for
other related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws;
and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
5 of Title 49 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to social
services programs for the protection of children, is amended by revising Code
Section 49-5-270, relating to the short title of the program of health care
benefits for children, as follows:
"49-5-270.
This
article shall be known and may be cited as the
'Revised
PeachCare for Kids Act
of
2007.'"
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
