Douglas of the 17th offered the following amendment:
Amend
the Senate Public Safety Committee Substitute to SB 25 (LC 35 0747S) by adding
on lines 7 of page 1 after the words
"motor vehicles have a valid driver´s license;"
and before the phrase
"to provide for related matters;"
the
following:
to
modify certain provisions relating to special license plates promoting certain
beneficial projects and supporting certain worthy agencies, funds, or nonprofit
corporations;
By
inserting between lines 7 and 8 of page 2 the following:
SECTION
2.1.
Said
title is further amended in Code Section 40-2-86.21 of the Official Code of
Georgia Annotated, relating to special license plates promoting certain
beneficial projects and supporting certain worthy agencies, funds, or nonprofit
corporations, by redesignating paragraphs 19 through 37 as paragraphs 18 through
36, respectively, and deleting paragraph 18 of subsection (o) as
follows:
"(18)
A special license endorsing 'Support Our Troops.' The funds raised by the sale
of this special license plate shall be disbursed to Georgia Support Our Troops,
Inc."
