RESOLUTION
Honoring
the delegation of legislators from the Republic of Kenya; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Republic of Kenya is a beautiful country in eastern Africa; and
WHEREAS,
the Honorable Raila Odinga is MP for Langata and leader of the 2006 delegation
to the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
it is much desired that this visit will promote, expand, and strengthen
cooperation and collaboration now and in the future between Kenya and the large
constituency of Kenyans in the United States of America, particularly the State
of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
there is much interest in the exchange of information concerning government and
political processes, as well as other areas of mutual interest; and
WHEREAS,
the delegation includes the Honorable Omingo Magara, MP for South
Mugirango-Kisii; the Honorable George Khaniri, MP for Hamisi-Western Kenya; the
Honorable Paddy Ahenda, MP for Kabondo; and the Honorable Sospeter Ojaamong, MP
for Amagoro Western Kenya.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize the Honorable Raila Odinga, MP for Langata, and his 2006
delegation; express their profound appreciation of the Republic of Kenya; and
extend their sincerest best wishes for the future of every member of the Kenyan
delegation.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the
aforementioned members of the Kenyan delegation.
