RESOLUTION
Commending
Eunice Mixon; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Eunice Mixon has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in community leadership and her deep personal
commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Tifton, Tift County, and the State
of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her state as evidenced dramatically
by her 23 years of superlative service as a member of the Georgia Student
Finance Commission Board of Commissioners (HOPE Scholarship) and her many years
of dedicated service as a member of the Heritage Trust Commission, the Agrirama
Foundation Board, and the State Election Board; and
WHEREAS,
she is currently serving with honor and distinction as a Senate doorkeeper; and
her equanimity, professionalism, and good will serve her in good stead as she
exercises her many duties on behalf of all of the members of that body;
and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
members of the General Assembly have earned her the respect and admiration of
her colleagues and associates and the members of this body in particular;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; her loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished her superlative service to this
state; and her friendship is counted by everyone under the Gold Dome as a
special experience they will always treasure; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Eunice Mixon for her many decades of efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated public service to the citizens of her state and extend
to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Eunice Mixon.
