RESOLUTION
Commending
Stacey L. Taylor; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Stacey Taylor was born on November 13, 1962 in Winston, Georgia to parents Linda
and Leon Taylor; and
WHEREAS,
he is married to Stephanie Wilson Taylor and has two children, 11-year old
Zachary and 9-year old Austin; and
WHEREAS,
he has two brothers, Tim and Kip, and grandparents Lucille and the late Monk
Redding, and the late Grady and Beatrice Taylor; and
WHEREAS,
he graduated from West Georgia College in 1989, earning a bachelor's degree in
Business Administration; and
WHEREAS,
he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for Regions Bank in West
Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he is past president of the Rotary Club of Paulding County and a former Rotarian
of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
he is a member of the Board of Directors, Douglas County Chamber of Commerce;
and
WHEREAS,
he is a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Douglasville;
and
WHEREAS,
he honored our state and country with his service in the 48th Infantry Brigade
of the Georgia National Guard, spending a year in Operation Desert Storm, and
was recognized as Georgia Soldier of the Year in 1982; and
WHEREAS,
in such service he attained the rank of Captain; and
WHEREAS,
he is a close personal friend of Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson;
and
WHEREAS,
he is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandson; and
WHEREAS,
he possesses the highest level of integrity, character, and
honesty.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that members of this
body thank and honor Captain Stacey Taylor for his service to the State of
Georgia and remember his family in our thoughts and prayers.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Captain
Stacey Taylor.
