A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Season Helms and the Trion High School Debate Team; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Trion High School Debate Team has established and maintained a proud
tradition of excellence in debate competition; and
WHEREAS,
this titanic team has completed another ultrasuccessful season by capturing the
2007 A State Championship for the fourth consecutive year; and
WHEREAS,
Season Helms played an important role in Trion High School´s success at
this year´s state debate tournament; and
WHEREAS,
Season and the other members of this multitalented team are required to spend a
substantial amount of after school hours in practice competition and are
selected because of their superior academic standing and their ability to
demonstrate their comprehension and mastery of numerous subjects under pressure;
and
WHEREAS,
under the expert and unwavering guidance of their coach, Kevin Trobaugh, Season
and her teammates have developed and refined the mental agility, verbal
adroitness, and intellectual acumen that are necessary for continued excellence
in academic competition; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding record of scholarly
achievement and peerless performance of the members of the team be recognized
appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the members of the Trion High School Debate Team for their
outstanding pursuit and attainment of academic excellence and extend to them
sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Season Helms.
