A
RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Nic Parris; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
wrestlers from across the State of Georgia gather in Atlanta each year for the
Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Individual State Tournament;
WHEREAS,
Senior Nic Parris won the 2007 GHSA Individual State Wrestling Championship in
the 215 weight class; and
WHEREAS,
Nic has experienced previous success at the state tournament, posting a
runner-up finish in 2006 as a junior; and
WHEREAS,
this state championship is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication
that Nic has put forth to maximize his achievements as a student-athlete;
and
WHEREAS,
every great athlete has a coach to guide him to championship level, and for Nic,
that coach was Coach Steve Lewis.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Nic Parris of Trion High School on his 2007 GHSA
Individual State Wrestling Championship.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Nic Parris.
