RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Trion Elementary School for its designation as a 2007 Georgia School of
Excellence and commending its principal, Ms. Phaedra Roberts; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Trion Elementary School has been selected as a 2007 Georgia School of Excellence
by the Department of Education, standing as one of only 25 schools in this state
to receive this prestigious honor and as one of only 12 Georgia schools in the
top 10 percent category; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Phaedra Roberts, a 15 year education veteran, continues the standard of
excellence established by the faculty, staff, and students of Trion Elementary
School; and
WHEREAS,
the school was also recognized with the Governor´s award in 2005 and 2006
for having the highest percentage of students meeting and exceeding state
standards; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative elementary school has maintained a proud tradition of
excellence in education through the outstanding efforts of the dedicated and
hard working administration, faculty, and staff and its bright, focused, and
determined students; and
WHEREAS,
by their example, Trion Elementary School and its incredibly devoted principal,
Ms. Phaedra Roberts, have set a standard of achievement and a model of
excellence and success for other schools and school administrators to
emulate.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize Trion Elementary School for its selection as a 2007 Georgia
School of Excellence and commend its principal, Ms. Phaedra Roberts, and the
amazing teachers of Trion Elementary School for their outstanding dedication and
commitment to excellence in education.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Trion
Elementary School and Ms. Phaedra Roberts.
