A RESOLUTION


Commending Millicent Fox; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Millicent Fox has long been recognized by the citizens of the City of Woodstock for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by her many years of superlative service to preserve and maintain the history of Woodstock through diligent research and by erecting plaques around the city commemorating and preserving the city´s heritage; and

WHEREAS, her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, she has been named the Barbara Ingram Citizen of the Year and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Millicent Fox for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate her upon the grand occasion of being named the Barbara Ingram Citizen of the Year; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Millicent Fox.
