RESOLUTION
Expressing
regret at the untimely passing of Pamela Aquica Orange; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Pamela Aquica Orange passed away on March 11, 2007, at the untimely age of 26
years; and
WHEREAS,
she was born on September 27, 1980, into a loving family, the daughter of noted
Civil Rights veterans James and Cleophas Orange and sister of Jamida, Deirdre,
Tamara, and Cleon; and
WHEREAS,
she attended Preston Stanley Arkwright Elementary School, Sylvan Middle School,
D.M. Therrell High School, and Atlanta Technical College; and
WHEREAS,
she was the executive assistant of the M.L. King, Jr., March Committee Africa
African-American Renaissance and assisted with the Youth Witness Evangelism for
Christ at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the
S.C.L.C./W.O.M.E.N.; and
WHEREAS,
she was a bright, shining star to all who knew her, and now that she has joined
her beloved grandparents, Willie and Luerina Brown and Calvin and Ida Orange in
the light of her Savior, those left behind must not grieve but rather rejoice
that she has found her eternal home and is waiting to greet her loved ones some
day.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body expresses regret at the passing of Pamela Aquica Orange and extend
condolences to her family and friends.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Pamela Aquica Orange.
