RESOLUTION
Congratulating
the Lakeside High School golf team on winning the 2007 Class AAAA state golf
championship and inviting the coaches and players to appear before the House of
Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Lakeside High School golf team has won the 2007 Class AAAA state golf
championship, posting a final team score of 288; and
WHEREAS,
this victory was the culmination of a season of hard work and exceptional
teamwork by the following young athletes: Brian Carter, John Faulkner, Tom
Hardy, Charlie Cason, Graham White, and Teddy Padezanin; and
WHEREAS,
Brian Carter was honored as a second place medalist with a score of 69 at an
amazing three under par; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, dedication, and hard work of each team member and of the
astute direction of Coach Jay Gilstrap; and
WHEREAS,
the outstanding achievements of these fine young athletes have brought honor to
their school, their community, and the State of Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate the Lakeside High School golf team on another superlative
season and for winning the 2007 Class AAAA state golf championship.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Coach Jay Gilstrap and the players of the 2007 Lakeside
High School golf team are invited to the House of Representatives for purposes
of being recognized by the House and receiving appropriate copies of this
resolution at a date and time to be fixed by the Speaker of the House.
