RESOLUTION
Commending
Ms. Joanne Parker; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Joanne Parker stands on the cusp of a new phase in her life as she
anticipates her retirement from her Antique Gallery on Main Street in Madison;
and
WHEREAS,
she is well known for putting a great deal of enthusiasm into her business life;
and
WHEREAS,
she brought the same enthusiasm to the many volunteer organizations she worked
for, and she was the founder and organizer of the Madison Area Newcomers
Association and has contributed countless hours to the Humane Society of Morgan
County and the Downtown Business Association; and
WHEREAS,
although not a native Madisonian, she has often been called Madison´s best
ambassador; and
WHEREAS,
it is only right and proper that this dynamic woman be recognized and commended
for her many contributions to her community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize and commend Ms. Joanne Parker for her many contributions to
the Madison area and wish her happiness in her retirement years.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Joanne
Parker.
