RESOLUTION
Commending
Beverly Mize; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Beverly Mize has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by her 20 years of superlative service as congressional
staff with former United States Representative Ed Jenkins and most recently as a
case worker for United States Representative Nathan Deal. Before she joined
former Representative Jenkins' staff, she worked for 13 years with the American
Red Cross, helping people in their time of need; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she felt it was her calling to help people and answered this calling through
superlative constituent service by working to solve problems with Social
Security, the needs of veterans, passports, and immigration, among others. She
is considered an expert on immigration issues, which made her an asset not only
to Representative Deal, but to the people he represents; and
WHEREAS,
Beverly Mize is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Beverly Mize for her two decades of efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate her upon the grand
occasion of her retirement; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for
continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Beverly Mize.
