RESOLUTION
Commending
Dr. Connie M. Huff; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Connie M. Huff is widely recognized throughout this state as the
personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected teacher in the Fannin County school system has served with
honor and distinction as a professional educator, is representative of the
standard of excellence that is apparent throughout the system, and attributes
her success to her wonderful students that enable her to do quality work as well
as the other teachers in the system; and
WHEREAS,
she has been selected by the Georgia Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) as
system representative for the Georgia Mentor Teacher Program and has been named
a Georgia Master Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her outstanding dedication to academic achievement, Dr. Huff
has been selected as the Fannin County 2008 Teacher of the Year;
and
WHEREAS,
she stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of
individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by
the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Dr. Connie M. Huff for her sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of so many
young people in this state and congratulate her upon her selection as the Fannin
County 2008 Teacher of the Year.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Connie M.
Huff.
