RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Georgia lost one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Leslie
Joy Brooks Osborne on October 18, 2007, at the young age of 26; and
WHEREAS,
Leslie was a lifelong resident of Sparta, Georgia, where she was born and
raised, and she fondly referred to Sparta as home; and
WHEREAS,
she was an outstanding graduate of John Hancock Academy and Georgia College and
State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing;
and
WHEREAS,
she was the dedicated and vigilant Director of Nursing for the Sparta Health
Care Center where she lovingly touched the hearts of all she served and worked
with, and she took great pride in caring for those in need; and
WHEREAS,
Leslie was a faithful member of Sparta Baptist Church, where she graciously
taught Sunday School, and she lived a life that exemplified her commitment to
the principles of her Christian faith; and
WHEREAS,
Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne was the beloved daughter of Tommy and Wanda Brooks of
Sparta, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne was a devoted wife to her husband, Clint Osborne, and
a loving mother to their daughter, Allie Joy Osborne; and
WHEREAS,
she had a love for life and brought joy and happiness to all those who came into
contact with her sweet and loving spirit, and her life was truly lived as an
example for others to follow;
and
WHEREAS, she was a remarkable lady filled with much strength of character and grace, and she will long be remembered in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.

NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body remember and honor the life of Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne, express
their deepest regrets at her passing, and extend their sincerest condolences to
her family.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Leslie Joy
Brooks Osborne.
