A
RESOLUTION
Commending
and recognizing Austin Younker; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Austin Younker is an accomplished individual who has excelled as an athlete and
in the community; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding Creekside High School basketball player hopes to hone his
skills into a Division I collegiate athletic scholarship; and
WHEREAS,
Austin has started every game but two since his freshman year; and
WHEREAS,
he averaged 10 points and four rebounds per game and set school records in three
pointers made (55) and blocked shots (28); and
WHEREAS,
Austin is a leader on and off the basketball court with a positive attitude,
always giving more than 100 percent effort in all he does on the court and in
the classroom; and
WHEREAS,
he is a tremendous role model for his fellow teammates and students and stands
as a principled example for other young people to follow; and
WHEREAS,
he has benefited greatly from the expert leadership of his coaches and also from
the strong support of his school faculty, and his many fans, friends, and family
members; and
WHEREAS, this stellar young man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS, this stellar young man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding
deeds of this accomplished athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend and recognize Austin Younker for his
achievements.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Austin
Younker.
