RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Tina Estrem, outstanding Georgia citizen; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Tina Estrem is an outstanding student, athlete, and volunteer who stands as a
role model for other young people and is a recent nominee for Cadet to the
United States Naval Academy freshman class of 2008; and
WHEREAS,
Tina Estrem has shown by example what it means to give to her fellow citizens as
demonstrated by her many volunteer activities, including her participation in
Kool Town Youth Ministry as Asistant Leader, In His Name Food Pantry, Teen Serve
Work Camp; as Assistant Drum Instructor for Becker High School Drumline; as a
church youth leader; and as a member of the NJROTC Drill Team and Orienteering
Team; and
WHEREAS,
she is a natural leader and a dedicated hard working athlete competing on the
varsity athletic swimming team, track and field team, and cross country team and
also serving in leadership positions as Bravo 1 Platoon Commander and Battalion
Operations Officer for the NJROTC; and
WHEREAS,
this amazingly principled young lady will graduate from high school in May,
2008, with plans to attend the United States Naval Academy and to honorably
serve her country and protect American freedom; and
WHEREAS,
she personifies the selfless dedication, mental agility, and personal maturity
necessary to become an outstanding leader and citizen and she will make her
parents, community, and this state proud wherever she chooses to serve;
and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate consistently the negative aspects of young
people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments, achievements, and unsurpassed commitment to
excellence of such an outstanding individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily commend Tina Estrem for her amazing achievements, extend to
her their appreciation for her laudable humanitarian endeavors, and express
their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Tina Estrem.
