RESOLUTION
Commending
Karolyn Hutcheson; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Karolyn Hutcheson has had a long and distinguished career as a public servant;
and
WHEREAS,
she is retiring as president of the Polk County Chamber of Commerce and
Development Authority after 17 years of superlative service; and
WHEREAS,
she began her service with the Chamber as a staff member, and as a result of her
dedication and commitment was selected as president where she has exhibited her
outstanding leadership in maintaining a stable, effective, and respected
economic program responsible for attracting a number of industries to locate in
and expand in Polk County; and
WHEREAS,
upon her retirement she plans to travel extensively and spend time with her
beloved husband, Ronnie, and their grandchildren; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that she be recognized by this body upon the
occasion of her forthcoming retirement.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Karolyn Hutcheson upon her forthcoming retirement and
commend her for her many achievements and contributions to the welfare of her
community and this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Karolyn
Hutcheson.
