A RESOLUTION


Honoring the life of Tami Jaudon and expressing regret at her passing; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Georgia lost one of its most distinguished citizens with the passing of Tami Jaudon on March 27, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Tami Jaudon was a beloved citizen of Clayton County, Georgia, where she honorably served for 12 years as a 911 operator for Clayton County 911 operator services; and

WHEREAS, she worked above and beyond the call of duty to provide the best possible emergency care services to the citizens of Georgia and only left such position due to physical limitations resulting from her long battle with diabetes; and

WHEREAS, her outstanding 911 service is demonstrated by her receipt of many awards, recognitions, and honors including her receipt of the 2003 Governor´s Public Safety Award for Heroism for speaking to a family through child birth, and the 2004 Stars of Life Award for successfully talking a family through reviving a patient with CPR which resulted in the full recovery of the patient; and

WHEREAS, she is survived by her devoted mother, Bobby Jaudon, and stepfather, Roger Owen, who lovingly cared for her in her final years, and her sister Lisa Lowenthal, niece Brittanee Leigh Gastgeb, and nephew Brandon Chase Gastgeb; and

WHEREAS, this extraordinary woman gave generously of herself to improve the quality of life for her fellow citizens and contributed greatly to the public safety mission of this state and her passing is a great loss to us all.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor the life of Tami Jaudon and express their heartfelt condolences to her friends and family.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Tami´s mother, Bobby Jaudon.
