RESOLUTION
Dedicating
Veterans Boulevard in Glennville, Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
all citizens of the United States owe a debt of gratitude for the heroic men and
women who volunteer to defend our freedom in distant lands; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper to provide for lasting memorials to their great
courage and dedication.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the members of
this body commend the veterans of all ages and dedicate the portion of SR 301 in
Glennville, Georgia, in Tattnall County, as Veterans Boulevard in honor of their
great sacrifices on behalf of our country.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and
directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the road facility
named in this resolution.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the
Glennville City Council and the Department of Transportation.
