RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and honoring the memory of Mrs. Mable Weaver; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Mable Weaver was recently inducted into the Houston County Teacher Hall of
Fame; and
WHEREAS,
the Hall of Fame honors those extraordinary teachers who have made a significant
difference in the lives of their students; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Mable Weaver primarily taught social studies for 30 years at Perry Junior
High School before retiring in 1979, and passing away in 1991 at the age of 95;
and
WHEREAS,
she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; her loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm distinguished her superlative service to public
education in this state; and
WHEREAS,
her deep personal commitment to her duties as well as her great compassion for
the students she taught earned for her the respect and admiration of the people
with whom she worked.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor the memory of Mrs. Mable Weaver for her many decades of
efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service to public education in
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Mable Weaver.
