RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Collins Hill High School 2008 AAAAA Traditional State
Champions; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Collins Hill High School wrestling team has proven itself to be one of the
great wrestling programs in Georgia as their season accomplishments include
Gwinnett County Champion, Region Duals Champion, State Duals Champion, Region
Team Individual Champion, State Team Individual Champion, and a ranking in the
top 30 in the nation; and
WHEREAS,
the hard work, determination, and competitive spirit of these exceptional
grapplers contributed to the success of the Collin Hill High School wrestling
team and will significantly influence their personal development and provide
them with memories they will cherish for a lifetime; and
WHEREAS,
the members of this exceptional team are Joseph Doyague; T. J. Mitchell, third
in the state; Allen Willard, fourth in the state; John Allgood; James Smithson,
fifth in the state; Joel Smith, second in the state; Sam Hoppenbrouwer; Taylor
Knapp, state champion; Gary Tiller, second in the state; Cody Parker; Nick
Smith, second in the state; C. J. Collins, sixth in the state; Will Collins; and
David Coffey, second in the state; and
WHEREAS,
all of these team players have benefited greatly from the expert training,
dedication, and encouragement provided by their amazing Head Coach Cliff Ramos
as well as the tremendous support of the Collins Hill High School faculty, their
many dedicated fans, and their loving family members; and
WHEREAS,
this talented and well-coached wrestling team has displayed the qualities of
hard work, discipline, and a commitment to excellence throughout this season,
and their community as well as the State of Georgia take great pride in the
accomplishments of these fine young
champions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in commending the members of the Collins Hill High School wrestling team for winning the 2008 AAAAA Traditional State Championship and extend their best wishes for the team's continued success.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the Collins Hill High School
wrestling team and Coach Cliff Ramos.
