RESOLUTION
Commending
Director General R. C. Wu and recognizing him on the occasion of his departure
from service in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Director General R. C. Wu has served the citizens of Georgia for four years
since 2004 at the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta;
and
WHEREAS,
Director General Wu has been a direct connection between the citizens and
business officials of Georgia and Taiwan; and
WHEREAS,
he has assisted several Taiwanese missions to Georgia in order to rekindle
business relationships benefitting both parties; and
WHEREAS,
Director General Wu is considered not only a true businessman and a liaison for
the Taiwanese government, but more importantly, he is also considered a close
friend of the Georgia Department of Agriculture; and
WHEREAS,
Director General Wu has worked in Taiwan, the Republic of Poland, and the
Commonwealth of Dominica before taking his post in Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Director General Wu is married to Chiu Yueh Hsu, and they have two sons;
and
WHEREAS,
Director General Wu will be missed by many of his colleagues in Georgia, and
each wishes him success for the future.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Director General R. C. Wu for his loyal and dedicated service
in aid of the State of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Agriculture,
recognize him on the occasion of his new posting, and wish him well in the years
to come.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby
authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to
Director General R. C. Wu of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office.
