RESOLUTION
Honoring
and commending Chief Inspector Adar Yahalom and inviting him to appear before
the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Adar Yahalom currently serves as Chief Inspector for the Israel Police and also
serves as the Logistics Officer for the Israel Police Operations Headquarters;
and
WHEREAS,
as a chief inspector and logistics officer, he has been instrumental in
assisting many law enforcement delegation that have visited Israel since 2005
for the purpose of studying Israel Police operations; and
WHEREAS,
Chief Inspector Adar Yahalom has a history of distinguished service to his
country as demonstrated by his service as an experiment officer in the Armored
Corps, Israel Defense Forces and his outstanding work as a police detective and
member of the negotiation team for the Israel Police; and
WHEREAS,
he has also successfully completed advanced officer courses of study and is an
expert in the areas of police investigation, security, and counter-terrorism;
and
WHEREAS,
Chief Inspector Adar Yahalom has gone above and beyond the call of duty to
guarantee the success of each program he has worked with and the safety of those
individuals coming together to fight the evils of terrorism; and
WHEREAS,
he has demonstrated long-standing and significant support of the Georgia
International Law Enforcement Exchange Program (GILEE) which has helped GILEE
grow and develop first rate programs and achieve a highly respected national and
international reputation; and
WHEREAS,
he has loyalty and diligently answered the call of duty, often with great
personal sacrifice and risk to his own safety;
and
WHEREAS, this exceptional officer exhibits outstanding leadership, patriotism, courage, and dedication to his country and to the world community, and the State of Georgia owes a debt of gratitude to this man of extraordinary character; and
WHEREAS, this exceptional officer exhibits outstanding leadership, patriotism, courage, and dedication to his country and to the world community, and the State of Georgia owes a debt of gratitude to this man of extraordinary character; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that this man who has personally contributed so
much to public safety and security be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor and commend Chief Inspector Adar Yahalom for his outstanding
service to the State of Georgia, to the United States, and to world
peace.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chief Inspector Adar Yahalom is invited to appear
before the House of Representatives at a date and time to be determined by the
Speaker.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Chief
Inspector Adar Yahalom.
