RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of James Thomas Morrison; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
James Thomas Morrison was a graduate of Gainesville High School and the
University of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he began his career as a math teacher and vo-tech coordinator and went on to
open his own business, Morrison and Associates Real Estate Appraisers, which he
operated for the past 31 years; and
WHEREAS,
he was a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church and an active
member of many civic, social, and professional organizations, including the
International Organization of Real Estate Appraisers and the National Rifle
Association´s Golden Eagles; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Morrison was a water sports enthusiast and loved skiing, cave diving, and
diving for missing persons in his earlier years; and
WHEREAS,
he loved hunting and fishing and won numerous events participating in bass
fishing tournaments; and
WHEREAS,
most important to him were his wife, son, and three grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS,
he always remained young at heart and loved working with young people as a
Little League coach and mentor and devoting much of his attention to his
grandchildren.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of
Mr. James Thomas Morrison and extend their most sincere condolences to his
family and friends.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Mr. James Thomas Morrison.
